Get Involved

There are numerous ways to get involved. We urge you to familiarize yourself with CRA projects and get involved with one as soon as you can. There’s plenty of work to go around, and we hope you will find an area where you can share your passion!

Request to Speak Program

A current project is the Request to Speak initiative. We are urging CRA members to enroll in the Request to Speak program and make our voices heard at the state level.

Why State Politics?
Read below what the Civic Engagement Beyond Voting (a grassroots non-partisan organization) says about state politics:

"Virtually all the experiences in your daily life are affected by laws enacted by state legislatures--from roads and local services to criminal justice, women's autonomy, individual privacy, funding public institutions and schools, and so much more. 95% of the nation's legal action occurs in state courts. You think "I don't do politics?" Think again--because politics is simply the business of everyday life in our communities."

How do you get involved? You can make you voice heard from the comfort of your home.  Arizona’s Request to Speak (RTS) is an online tool that lets everyday citizens give Arizona state lawmakers our feedback on bills. It’s an easy way to get involved in state politics, stay informed on the bills that directly affect us, and make sure our elected officials honor the wishes of us, their constituents.

Once CRA members are enrolled in the Request to Speak program, we will determine as a group what bills we will provide feedback on. This will ensure that our voice is heard on issues that align with the CRA principles.
